The Disability Equity Index names the Best Places for Individuals with Disability to Work

Last year, staff members at the American Association of People with Disabilities and staff members at the US Business Leadership Network, teamed up to create the Disability Equity Index (DEI). The DEI is a national inventory used to assess and benchmark business’ disability inclusion practice. For its second year in practice the DEI recognized 42 of the 83 participating companies, with the “Best Place to Work” Honor. The companies honored are those that scored 100%.  Some of companies honored include Starbucks, AMC Theaters, Verizon, Universal, General Motors, Wal-Mart and American Airlines. This list cannot only help individuals find places to work, but also help people determine where to spend their money. See the full list of “Best Places to Work” winners here.
