Why It Matters That Olympic Gymnast Simone Biles Has ADHD

Simone Biles is a role model to girls across the nation. She is especially a role model for those girls that struggle with ADHD. Simone Biles, the gymnast extraordinaire, revealed that she was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 7 and has taken medication ever since. There is a stigma around ADHD and especially around the medicine, but Simone proves that there is nothing shameful about ADHD. Simone Biles showed the world that there is nothing wrong with having ADHD and it can’t stop you from doing amazing things, from graduating college to winning five Olympic golden medals.
