“Understanding the Spectrum” Comic

A comic book artist and tumblr user noticed that there are a number of misperceptions of what autism spectrum disorder really is and what it looks like. She decided to help people better understand the disorder through a comic she calls “Understanding the Spectrum.” The comic is meant to educate adults and teens on the term autism and how people who are diagnosed with it are affected. The comic discusses thinking of the spectrum as less of a straight line and more of a circle. It also discusses the fact that no two individuals with ASD are alike. See the full post here.
