Former NFL Players Created Boxing Program to Build the Self-Esteem of Kids with Special Needs

A boxing gym in Chicago holds classes every Saturday tailored to kids with special needs. Jordan’s Corner is a fitness and boxing organization that helps children grow physically and socially. Boxing promotes health and wellness, while interactions with peers and adults help develop social skills. The teachers promote positivity through affirmations and mantras. The program is held at Falcon Boxing Gym, owned by former NFL player David Falcon. David was inspired to start the program by his brother Jordan, who the program is named after. Jordan has special needs and David wanted to start something to help build his self-esteem. Jordan is now an active participant and continues to grow through the program.
